You may know that the collective agreements set the minimum wages, but did you know that the minimum wages in the collective agreements increase every year on March 1?
Well they do! For example, the minimum wage for steel bonding and concrete work in Copenhagen is rising from DKK 124.15 to DKK 126.15. The holiday money, that we call “Søn og Helligdags” payment also increases from 9.30% to 9.90%.
It's not much, but it's something. There are many wages and supplements that rose from 1st March, and which you should see the result of in your upcoming payslip.
It is always a good idea to contact your union and get them, to look through your paycheck. Now is a good opportunity for you to do it. Remember to write your hours in a pocket book!
