Is the site ready for winter?

From October 1, all construction sites must have planned how to cover all openings in the house, scaffold, lifts, etc. In addition the management must also have plans to deal with, snow, cold and other weather problems. Check if your workplace is dressed for the winter.

Openings in the house
All openings in the house must be shut and all scaffolds and the like must be covered if the employees will be working on them.

Access roads
The access roads must be cleared of snow, and gravel or salted before work start.

Orientation light
Orientation lights must be established wherever workers go, so that you can always see where you enter.

Work areas
Work areas for cutting or assembly must be shielded from the weather, perhaps by a tent.

Inside work
There house must be temporary sealled of against water, cold and heat loss. The building must be heated and ventilated.
