Read about how these new regulations may affect you.
If you have a certificate issued, according to the previous regulations, it will still be valid, with some exceptions.
Telescopic Lifts
In the future, anyone who operates a telescopic lift must have a telesopic lift certificate. Previously, a fork truck certificate would have been sufficient, but from January 1, 2019 a certificate specifically for telescopic lifts will be required.
If you are using the telescopic lift for hoisting, and the lifting capacitiy is more than eight (8) tons-meter, or if it is being used for lifting personelle, you are required to pass the telescopic lift course and crane basis course.
Crane Operator
In the future, you will only require the crane operator course and certificate for cranes with a permitted load of more than eight (8) tons/tons-meter, regardless of the crane type.
This means that fewer people will require crane operator certificates, which is something Dansk Byggeri have long fought for.
Fork Truck and Pallet Stacker
Fork truck - and pallet stacker courses are both unchanged.
However, fork truck certificates issued after January 1, 2018, will no longer include the permission to operate a telescopic lift.
Fork Truck B certificates, issued according to the current rules, allow the holder to operate telescopic lifts up until December 31, 2018. This means from January 1, 2019 you will need to get a telescopic lift certificate in order to continue operating telescopic lifts.
