Proper framework conditions

By framework conditions, we refer to the laws and regulations, institutions, and infrastructure, that supports both the private sector and the ability to run a business, as well as the individual person’s right to social protection, education, health care and equal access to justice.

Proper framework conditions provide predictability for both companies and employees. This contributes to securing a dynamic business environment that supports the development of a competitive private sector and creates sustainable economic growth.

The Danish Labour Market Consortium supports local trade unions, employers’ associations, and business organizations in becoming better at influencing policy reforms towards more transparency, stability, and regulation of the labour market. This also applies to the formalization of the informal economy and better conditions for competitive business activities.

Together, the social partners can participate in decision-making processes and put pressure on governments to improve framework conditions.

We support our partners' efforts to improve labor legislation and respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms. This is done, inter alia, through regional and international networks and institutions such as the International Labor Organization (ILO).
